HERITAGE STONEMASONS

We specialise in the restoration and construction of stone work for Heritage listed properties, bringing skill, expertise and the use of modern techniques, to create a seamless finish between the old and the new.

It is our passion to restore the beautiful buildings of the past to their former glory.

Our work has ranged from restoring 15th century cathedrals, medieval stone bridges and Sydney foreshore seawalls to restoring Sydney sandstone heritage listed properties, conserving the heritage of Australian architecture.

Restoration of the Federation 1913 Croydon Post Office. Our stone restoration extended to restoring the two top stone hood moulds and four springer stones using reconstructed stone.

NEW TERRACE STEPS ON A SYDNEY HERITAGE COTTAGE

A 1800's terrace house in Stanmore was in need of having its 20 year old timber stairs replaced with new stone steps, designed by Paragrid Architecture.

Care and attention was taken to shape the stone to fit snugly. The stringer course (the stones labeled B1 & B6 on the architectural drawing) was created by hand and finished with traditional heritage style "batton markings" to match the original stringer course on the right hand side of the stairs, creating an authentic finish.
